Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard were a big thing until everything turned quite bitter in their relationship. The couple were married for 18 long months until they officially parted ways. Since their divorce in January 2017, Johnny Depp and ex-wife Amber Heard latest legal drama has been hitting headlines as the Pirates of the Caribbean actor filed a defamation case against his ex-wife. Now, according to the latest reports on the ongoing case, the Aquaman star will go to jail if the actress is proven guilty of providing false evidence that she used to prove claims against Johnny abusing her.

According to reports in the International Business Times, Amber Heard could face up to three years of imprisonment for providing false evidence against Johnny Depp. While the defamation case between the ex-couple has been getting weirder day by day, as per reports, they have been new pieces of evidence that prove that Heard faked some of her injuries claiming Johnny Depp injured her which allowed her to obtain the temporary restraining order (TRO) against her ex-husband. As per Depp’s claims, Heard used makeup to paint the bruises on her face she used as her evidence to obtain the TRO in 2016 and actor James Franco has turned the key person in the case as he was around the actress before and after the TRO was received. As Heard also mentioned Depp gave her two black eyes, one of her stylist mentioned she could not see any visible marks, bruises, cuts, or injuries on her face or any other part of her body.

For the unversed, after the divorce of the ex-spouses was finalized in January 2017, Amber Heard wrote an opinion-based piece for the Washington Post talking about physical abuse. Although the actress did not mention ex-husband Johnny Depp’s name in the article, a judge ruled out that the Fantastic Beasts actor clearly explained how it was clear whom his ex-wife was referring to, later him filing a Rs 3, 80, 15, 00, 000 defamation suit against her.


Meanwhile, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard met on the sets of The Rum Diary in 2011 and later went on to tie the knot in 2015. Amber was the first to file for a divorce from Depp in May 2016 after she stated that he was physically and verbally abusive to her, with them finally divorced in January 2017 after the settlement in August 2016.
